longer "married" <strong>to</strong> Jesus but <strong>to</strong> Christ, who had<br />

brought another law in a direct revelation <strong>to</strong> him<br />

(Paul). It was, therefore, necessary <strong>to</strong> follow<br />

Christ and not Jesus. Thus, anyone who held <strong>to</strong><br />

Jesus' teaching had gone astray_ It was the use of<br />

this reasoning that Paul assemb<strong>led</strong> his doctrine of<br />

redemption and a<strong>to</strong>ne<strong>me</strong>nt. Jesus never taught this<br />

theory. It was a great success, since, in so many<br />

words, it preached that a man could do what he<br />

wanted and not face the inevitable consequences<br />

of his actions, provided that, at the end of the day,<br />

he said: "I believe in Christ." However, the basic<br />

premise on which Paul's reasoning was based is<br />

false, since Jesus was neither crucified nor<br />

resurrected. His doctrines of redemption and<br />

a<strong>to</strong>ne<strong>me</strong>nt are fallacious. 7<br />

Do you know that the doctrine of a<strong>to</strong>ne<strong>me</strong>nt was<br />

accepted by the church three <strong>to</strong> four centuries after<br />

Jesus left the earth?8 Read Deuteronomy 24:16,<br />

Jeremiah 31:30 and Ezekiel 18:20 and you will<br />

see that this doctrine of a<strong>to</strong>ne<strong>me</strong>nt contradicts the<br />

Old Testa<strong>me</strong>ntlLaw:<br />
