Joint Administration
The whole of Government can be considered to consist of three sectors, consistent with the
PSM Act:
1. Government;
2. Public Sector; and
3. Public Service.

Government boards and committees exist and operate in all three sectors.
The Department of the Premier and Cabinet's role in relation to Government boards and
committees is to:
® manage the cabinet processes relating to the establishment and maintenance of
Government boards and committees and using the data extracted from Cabinet
Submissions to maintain the Database and Register of Government boards and
committees.
The Commission's role in relation to Public Sector boards and committees is to:
recommend remuneration for board or committee chairpersons and members and
is involved in their training, advice and support; and
