• The beefing up of nurses in all clinics to ensure that every person that
needs their services is attended to in time.
• The establishment of ‘A’ level schools in the constituency to ensure
that pupils go further than the ordinary level. There is also a need to
establish secondary schools in ward 35, and a primary school in ward
35 to ensure government policy of near and accessible education.
• The Increase in the number of operational self-reliance projects in
almost all wards to ensure that the residents help themselves in
reducing poverty, in as much as economically empowering the youth
and women. Most of the projects in the constituency are however
owned by women while the greater number is comprised by groups
and cooperatives.
• Gender mainstreaming in local governance. Of the 14 wards, only 2
wards, i.e. wards 15 and 26 have a female councillor, depicting that
women are still lagging behind in decision making. They constitute only
14% of the total ward seats.
