Allergan has introduced dermal fi llers Juvederm<br />

Volbella <strong>and</strong> Juvederm Volift to Australia. Used<br />

to enhance the lips, reduce the appearance of<br />

wrinkles <strong>and</strong> fi ne lines <strong>and</strong> restore volume, the fi llers<br />

are formulated with a local anaesthetic to reduce<br />

discomfort during treatment.<br />

At the launch, French plastic surgeon Dr Herve<br />

Raspaldo shared his experience in using dermal<br />

fi llers for facial rejuvenation: ‘The loss of volume in<br />

the face is now also recognised as a fundamental<br />

part of ageing <strong>and</strong> can be treated using minimally<br />

invasive procedures <strong>and</strong> products to provide a more<br />

natural, relaxed look.’<br />

Japanese plastic surgeon <strong>and</strong> internationally renowned researcher<br />

Dr Yohei Tanaka spoke on the benefi ts of non-invasive methods<br />

for body contouring <strong>and</strong> facial rejuvenation at a recent breakfast<br />

hosted by Cutera. He spoke on the benefi ts of the Cutera systems<br />

TruSculpt <strong>and</strong> Titan, which use radiofrequency <strong>and</strong> infrared<br />

technology to achieve aesthetic results.<br />

Dr Tanaka presented several case studies on TruSculpt, showing<br />

its effect on wrinkle reduction <strong>and</strong> general facial rejuvenation, as<br />

well as his non-invasive body contouring results using Titan.<br />
