dimensionless numbers, approximations,<br />

• Modelling concepts<br />
models, ODE- and PDE-formulations, finite automata,<br />
f<strong>und</strong>amentals of numerical solutions<br />
• F<strong>und</strong>amentals of reaction kinetics<br />
mass action law, reaction dynamics, chemical systems<br />
• System Earth and its workings<br />
compartments (atmosphere, oceans, land, cryosphere),<br />
fluxes and cycles (energy, water, carbon),<br />
