Injector Test Mode When entering the fuel injector test mode, be sure to follow all pertinent fuel system safety precautions provided by the engine and injector manufacturers. Refer to the engine manufacturer’s service <strong>manual</strong>s for fuel system safety and injector test information. Injector Test Multi-Pulse Test Single-Pulse Test Multi-Pulse Time Set 1) Select the type of injector test required. The following two test modes are available: Multi Pulse Test Mode Allows the injector to be cycled ON/OFF a predetermined number of times. When in this mode you may use the and keys to select from 5 to 50 cycles per test. The ON TIME reading displayed in this mode reflects the total time the injector is held ON. Single Pulse Mode Cycles the injector ON/OFF one time. When in this mode, you may use the and keys to select an ON time between 1 and 1000 milliseconds. Holding either the or key down for more than ten counts causes the ON time to change in 10 ms increments. 2) Press the YES key to enter the test mode. 3) Press the FIRE key to initiate the test. 4) Press the NO key to exit the test mode. The Multi-Pulse mode’s overall ON time may be adjusted between 100 and 600 milliseconds by entering the Time Adjust menu option. Page 64
