Sowing with double row spacing

If, as an exception, sowing is to take place with half the number
of coulters (double row spacing), the flaps should be set to
the ‘non-sowing’ 2- way- turns setting - set the upper flap
lever up or down (22/1).
The gear adjustment should be set for double seed volume
kg/ha:
To calibrate the settings, take double the ‘desired seeding rate’.
Rotate the crank for calibration according to the chart.
For double or wider row spacing (e.g. for beans) only put a
small amount of seeds in!
Disc markers
Set the disc revolution point (the length varies according to
the working width and row spacing of the drill machine as well
as the tractor track width when marking rows: Fig. 23).
… at centre of tractor:
a) from coulter blades = half working width = A
b) from outside coulter = working width + row spacing = A1

... on tractor track, from outside coulter:
working width + row distance – tractor track width = A2

Example (result rounded off):
3 m working width (B = 300 cm)
12,5 cm row spacing (R = 12,5 cm)
170 cm tractor track width (S = 170 cm)
A = 150 cm (of tractor centre, from coulter blades)
A1 = B + R = 300 + 12,5 = 156 cm
