further discussion as to the viability of
this option.
NORTH COAST AND CENTRAL
REGION BRANCH MEETINGS
During the last month I have attended
branch meetings throughout the North
Coast and Central Regions, including
at Redcliffe, Maroochydore, Gympie,
Maryborough, Bundaberg, Gladstone,
Rockhampton, Emerald, Moranbah,
and Mackay.
A major concern in all of these areas
is the possibility of loss of staff in light
of cutbacks occurring in the public
service throughout the state. What we
know is that we as a Union take a hard
line against any attempt to cutback
frontline services, as well as support
for frontline staff.
All police throughout the state are
doing it tough with the rising cost
of living, and particularly those in
the Central Region, and those in the
northern parts of the North Coast
Region.
We as a Union will be taking it up
to the government to ‘help’ them
understand just how tough we are
doing it!
