Feast on a Budget The sizzle of a 250g grain-fed rump; the crunch of a crumbly schnitzel; the intoxicating aroma of sticky-sweet BBQ wings – the senses are thrown into overdrive. Diamonds in the sky signals seafood sensation Those who enjoy their seafood wouldn’t miss our Diamonds in the Sky – Seafood Buffet. This much-loved event is once again returning to our Presidents Room this month. Block the date out in your calendars, call your friends and family, and make it a night out on Saturday, June 28th. As you arrive, the room is adorned with glittering jewels and elegant fair. You find your place and drink in the surrounds. Soft melodies are drifting from the stage, care of our resident soloist. But you don’t dwell long on the music as your mouth begins to water. Before you had even realised, your sense of smell had already picked up the delicious smells of the buffet. Fresh prawns, oysters, and crab entice you to pick up your first plate, but you are instinctively drawn to the hot dishes. Crumbed, baked or sautéed, there’s something on that buffet that will delight any taste. If the thought of all that seafood is just a bit too much (if that’s at all possible), we also offer a selection of roast meat, salads and vegetables to round the feast out. But such a feast would be incomplete without a crisp drink to accompany it. Choose from a selection of house wines, beers and soft drinks to round-off this royal experience. Whilst we encourage you to have your fill, be sure to leave a little bit of room for the dessert buffet. Your eyes will certainly be larger than you stomach, but what would a feast be if you didn’t try a little of everything. Your mouth begins to water as you smell the rich flavours of the hearty meat freshly cooked on your plate. You drop your fork onto o the shank and the meat melts away from the bone and lands softly on the bed of fluffy white mashed potato. Your fork swivels and dives into the meat, swooshing the mash up in one move. Anticipation is quickly relieved by the flavours that burst in your mouth as you take your first bite. Whilst you savour the flavour explosion, your hand moves slowly to the glass of rich ruby red wine to your right. Your hand raises the glass, swivelling slowly, watching the liquid dance within its transparent confines. The mouthful you had is swallowed as the glass is brought to your nose, and you inhale the bold spicy perfume lifting from the shiraz. A small sip of this enticing liquid enhances the flavours the recent lamb shank left in your mouth, leaving you wanting more. For the first time since your flavour sensations took over, you realise you’re not alone. You’re surround- ed by family and friends in the relaxing environment of the Bunny’s Family Restaurant at the Leaguesy.
