HAMPSHIRE/HAMPDEN COUNTIES Huntington Southern Hilltowns Adult Education Center (a UMass Labor/Management Workplace Education Program) 9 Russell Road Huntington, MA 01050 413-667-0217 www.umass.edu/share E-mail address: cspicer@admin.umass.edu PROGRAM HOURS: Class Hours: Monday - Thursday 12 noon – 6:00 p.m. SERVICES PROVIDED: Occasional evening classes, generally 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. ABE and GED-preparation classes, in small groups and tutorial basis (twice weekly) Computer workshops: from very basic to intermediate level (program specific and variety of applications) generally evenings from 1- to 4-session classes Job Readiness: occasional workshops focusing on career assessment, basic job-search skills, general workplace skills *such as communication, conflict management, organization, etc. POPULATION SERVED AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Adults, aged 16 and older For ABE/GED, must not be enrolled in high school. GEOGRAPHIC SCOPE OF SERVICES: For GED and Job Readiness programs, student must be a resident of Chester, Huntington, Middlefield, or Russell. For computer workshops, student must be a resident of the Blandford, Chester, Huntington, Middlefield, Montgomery, Russell, or Worthington.
