ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
“CEP offers an array of ABE opportunities to adults in Holyoke and Hampden County. We work
primarily with low-income Latino learners, but our doors are open to anyone with ABE needs.
Class content is designed around students' real-life concerns and all classes are highly
participatory. Our work is carried out through laddered adult literacy and language education
programs, as well as through grassroots organizing and action initiatives that encourage our
students and others to engage in their communities, to respect human dignity with its rights and
responsibilities, and to increase awareness about social and economic inequalities.”
