Avoid Submerging Your <strong>Segway</strong> PT<br />

Submerging your <strong>Segway</strong> PT can cause permanent damage (see<br />
Figure 26).<br />

Observe the following rules regarding submersion and water:<br />
• Do not submerge the Batteries or Powerbase in water.<br />
• Avoid exposure to heavy downpours or extended periods of<br />
heavy rain (when riding, storing, or transporting the <strong>Segway</strong> PT).<br />
CAUTION<br />
Do not use a power washer or high pressure hose to clean<br />
your <strong>Segway</strong> PT. Use of these devices could force water into<br />
components that must stay dry.<br />
Do not allow water to get into the Charge Port.<br />
WARNING!<br />
Do not clean the Mat or Tires with any specialized cleaners.<br />
Use of such products may reduce traction.<br />
