"The Rainmaker") and Steven Haft

Exploitips: Sony Classics began pursuing
this pic at Cannes this year when it was still
in production, paying an estimated $1.2
million without seeing any footage.

Greenland's Jacob Gronlykke directs this
drama about a man trying to come to terms
with his son's violent crimes and suicide as
well as his own hatred for his father, who
negotiated the colonization agreement with
Denmark half a century earlier. Rasmus
Lyberth, Vivi Nielsen and Anda Kristiansen
star. Gronlykke scripts with Hans Anthon
Lynge; Henrik Moller-Sorensen produces.

tough, as even local Scandinavians may not
