Today’s games vs Hobart are crucial games to
lift us for a finals birth. The return from injury of
several players since that time gives us renewed
optimism for the future. The team has the
potential to go all the way this year but it won’t just
happen. This game is a vital one for the remainder
of the season and it should be a launching pad to
turning around recent results and heading towards
the finals.
Today’s game is a big milestone for our former
Captain, William Leitch medallist and all round
great player for the Club, in Jesse Crouch. Jesse
reaches life membership by playing his 150th
game. On behalf of the Club we wish Jesse well
and hope the players lift to make it memorable.
Jaimes Wiggins our former GM and Football
Manager resigned last week and we wish him well
for his future. Jaimes will always be remembered
for his major role in the recruitment of Jason
Akermanis and that memorable first game
under lights at KGV with Aker playing his first
game in Tassie. His contribution to the Club with
other recruits, sports nights and his informative
newsletters have been real positives for the Club.
