Active break<br />
Veliko Gradiste and Silver Lake are known under<br />
<strong>the</strong> heading Heaven for fishermen. The Silver Lake<br />
Tourist Centre has been developed as an ideal place<br />
to rest in an envir<strong>on</strong>ment surrounded by beautiful<br />
nature. Besides fishing, here you can swim, walk and<br />
ride a bike, while good local winds provide all <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
<strong>the</strong> c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong>s for sailing and windsurfing. Some 15<br />
km from Veliko Gradiste, near <strong>the</strong> village <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Zat<strong>on</strong>je,<br />
is a launch spot for paragliding. The neighbouring<br />
town <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Golubac is home to <strong>the</strong> yachting centre <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>Serbia</str<strong>on</strong>g>. At Golubac <strong>the</strong> Danube looks like a sea – it<br />
is about 6.5 km wide, thus allowing you to sail and<br />
enjoy <strong>the</strong> favourable winds and large areas <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> water.<br />
Parts <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> Danube coastline have been developed<br />
into beautiful manmade beaches surrounded by<br />
almost completely wild nature. If you are a fan <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
walking, head for <strong>the</strong> Golubac walking trail, which<br />
stretches al<strong>on</strong>g <strong>the</strong> border <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> Djerdap Nati<strong>on</strong>al<br />
Park. In this area <strong>the</strong>re are a large number <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> natural<br />
observati<strong>on</strong> points with unique views. Do not miss<br />
<strong>the</strong> opportunity to visit <strong>the</strong> 14 th century Tumane<br />
M<strong>on</strong>astery and nearby lake and Ridan Waterfall. To<br />
gain a complete picture <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> this area, no trip would be<br />
complete without a sightseeing tour by boat which<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>fers panoramic views <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> area. A <strong>on</strong>e day tour<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> archaeological sites <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Viminacium, Golubac<br />
Fortress and <strong>the</strong> nearby Ram Fortress provides for an<br />
interesting excursi<strong>on</strong>. Golubac has also been added<br />
to <strong>the</strong> European cycling maps – with <strong>the</strong> Euro Velo 6<br />
route passing through <strong>the</strong> municipality<br />
Beljanica<br />

Active break<br />
One <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> starting points for a tour <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Beljanica is <strong>the</strong><br />
mountain house in <strong>the</strong> village <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Lisina. From here<br />
<strong>the</strong> trail leads to <strong>the</strong> peak – first passing <strong>the</strong> gentle<br />
slopes under orchards and meadows before entering<br />
dense beech forests, with <strong>the</strong> ascent becoming<br />
ever steeper. At <strong>the</strong> foot <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> mountain are <strong>the</strong><br />
Veliko Vrelo (Great hot spring) and Veliki Buk (Great<br />
Cascades) waterfall, which represent a protected<br />
natural m<strong>on</strong>ument. If you are <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> an adventurous<br />
spirit, you will enjoy descending to <strong>the</strong> foot <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong><br />
waterfall. This area has unique natural phenomen<strong>on</strong>:<br />
<strong>the</strong> Krupajsko spring and <strong>the</strong> lavish, spacious Resava<br />
Cave, which is open to visitors year-round.<br />
A jewel <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>Serbia</str<strong>on</strong>g>n medieval architecture is <strong>the</strong><br />
Manasija – Resava M<strong>on</strong>astery, which is a must for<br />
any tour <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> Resava area.<br />
