Red- Theatre Tradeshows for NEW YORK — MGM will hold evening tradeshowings of "Show Boat" in theatres in all exchange areas, starting June 11, as a result of the reception given the picture at a sneak preview at Loew's 72nd St. Theatre here. The one exception is Philadelphia, where the musical will be screened at the Loew's branch at 11 a. m. Nineteen theatre screenings will be held June 11, four June 12, two June 14 and four June 18. Seventeen of the theatres are Loew situations. Because a number of New York area exhibitors did not attend the Loew's 72nd St. preview, another showing was held at the New York exchange June 4, prior to the opening of "Show Boat" at the Radio City Music Hall. The 19 theatres and towns where the picture will be screened June 11 are: Grand, Albany; State, Boston; Center, Charlotte; State, Cleveland; Melba, Dallas; Lakewood, Denver; Uptown, Des Moines; Midland, Kansas City; Four Star, Los Angeles; Loew's Palace, Memphis; Loew's Poll, New Haven; Loew's State, New Orleans; Home, Oklahoma City; Dundee, Omaha; Loew's Penn, MR. exhibitor: MGM's Show Boat' Pittsburgh; Southeast, Salt Lake City; 'Warfield, San Francisco; Greenlake, Seattle; Loew's Palace, 'Washington.
