The Institute for Road Safety Research SWOV is <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong> a project to<br />

decrease <strong>the</strong> number of casualties with light motorized two-wheelers<br />

(<strong>moped</strong>s <strong>and</strong> 125 cc motorcycles).<br />

We are ga<strong>the</strong>r<strong>in</strong>g details on measures from <strong>Europe</strong>an countries.<br />

From your country we would like to ask you for <strong>in</strong>formation concern<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong><br />

follow<strong>in</strong>g subjects. If you do not know <strong>the</strong> answers, please give me <strong>the</strong> e-<br />

mail address of one of your colleagues, or of a specialist from ano<strong>the</strong>r<br />

<strong>in</strong>stitute <strong>in</strong> your country.<br />

A. Legislation for <strong>moped</strong>s with a division <strong>in</strong> light <strong>moped</strong>s (≤ 25 km/h) <strong>and</strong><br />

<strong>moped</strong>s (≤ 45 km/h)<br />

* compulsory <strong>the</strong>oretical test<br />
