Castrol Transmax Dex VI
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Castrol Transmax Dex VI is a premium synthetic formulation automatic transmission fluid approved
for use in all General Motors automatic transmissions. Castrol Transmax Dex VI is licensed against
the Dexron® VI specification which supersedes all previous Dexron® specifications for General
Motors Holden applications.
PRODUCT APPLICATION
Castrol Transmax Dex VI is recommended for all transmissions used in General Motors cars,
Holden, Isuzu, Opel and Hydramatic transmissions used in a range of vehicles. Castrol Transmax
Dex VI may be used in power steering for the majority of cars, light commercial vehicles (LCV’s), and
tractors except where specialist fluids are recommended, e.g., Honda, Mercedes-Benz, SAAB. Castrol
TQ Dex VI is recommended for automatic transmissions of the following vehicles:
• Holden Commodore VE onwards.
• Imported GM vehicles 2006 onwards.
• Holden Statesman, Caprice six speed transmissions.
• Suitable for many hydraulic systems where ISO 22 or ISO 32 Hydraulic Oils or SAE 10W engine
oils are recommended.
N.B.
Castrol Transmax Dex VI is NOT suitable where Ford M2C-33 is recommended. Always
ensure the correct Castrol automatic transmission fluid (as specified by the vehicle
manufacturer) is used by referring to the vehicles’ owner handbook, or Castrol Lubrication
Reference Guide.

meet Dexron® IIIH or earlier specifications.

• Enhanced friction durability improves shifting performance offering driver comfort.
• Resists fluid breakdown at higher operating temperatures to assist in extending transmission life.
• Excellent durability for vehicles operating in harsh environments e.g., taxis, heavy-duty towing
such as caravans.
• Reduces sludge and varnish build-up resulting in cleaner transmissions and less overheating.
• Protects transmission gears and allows them to operate smoothly.
• Flows well for cold start-up.
• Maintains lubricity.
• Enhances the performance of both older and newer GM transmissions.

It is preferable NOT to mix or add Castrol Transmax Dex VI with other automatic transmission
fluids otherwise its performance will not be maximized.

Bare Metal Surfaces:
Hand Cleaning:
Remove with Castrol solvent cleaners or water based degreasers.
Use any of the Castrol range of hand cleaners, e.g. CareClean Plus.
