Rubber Grease
Description
Energrease Petrol Resistant is a castor oil based This grease will not degrade natural rubbers or be
silica thickened grease developed for protection and effected by the solvent action of hydrocarbons.
lubrication applications where contact with natural
rubber or hydrocarbons may occur.
It exhibits an NLGI consistency of 4.
Applications
Energrease Petrol Resistant may be used in
applications where hydrocarbon products - such as
motor spirit, LPG or other hydrocarbon solvents -
come into contact with grease that is providing
general lubrication or acting as a sealant. The
solvent action of these fluids may severely affect or
wash away standard greases leaving the
components without lubrication. Energrease Petrol
Resistant is resistant to these solvents.
Energrease Petrol Resistant as a solvent resistant
grease is recommended for:
- Lubrication of glands on solvent pumps in dry
cleaning plants, paint industry, chemical industry etc.
- Petrol pump spindle glands.
- A sealant for metal connections through which
liquid or gaseous hydrocarbons pass.
Energrease Petrol Resistant is formulated for
operating temperatures between -25°C and 110 °C.
Main Benefits
- Resistant to hydrocarbon solvents - Will not degrade natural rubbers
Storage
Energrease Petrol Resistant is also suitable for
applications where it may come in contact with
natural rubber components. Standard greases
composed of thickeners and mineral oils will attack
natural rubbers causing swelling and degradation.
Energrease Petrol Resistant will not adversely effect
natural rubbers .
It is therefore suitable for uses such as:
- Lubrication of automotive brake components
- Operations that call for a "rubber grease"
- A corrosion preventative and lubricant to assist in
fitting and removal of tyres in agricultural, mining
and earthmoving equipment. Note: not all equipment
manufacturers support this application, enquire of
manufacturer or agent for correct tyre-fitting
procedure.
All packages should be stored under cover and use. Grease guns and grease systems should be
secure at moderate temperatures. Always reseal maintained clean and in good working order.
containers after
