4 SIMPLE STEPS TO CALCULATE TUITION COSTS<br />
STEP 1<br />
Determine your residency status:<br />
1. Do you live in the <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>College</strong> district?*<br />
a. If yes, you pay in-district tuition rate<br />
b. If no, go to question 2.<br />
2. Do you live outside the <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>College</strong> district but have<br />
been a Texas resident for the past 12 months?**<br />
a. If yes, you pay out-<strong>of</strong>-district tuition rate.<br />
b. If no, go to question 3.<br />
3. Have you lived outside <strong>of</strong> Texas within the last 12<br />
months?<br />
a. If yes, you will pay the non- resident tuition rate.<br />
b. If no, go back to questions 1 and 2.†<br />

STEP 2<br />
Determine the number <strong>of</strong><br />
credit hours you are taking:<br />
1. List your class schedule:<br />
Example: ACCT 2401<br />
ARTS 1303<br />

2. The second digit in the course number determines<br />
the number <strong>of</strong> credit hours for that particular<br />
course.<br />
Example: ACCT 2401<br />
This course has 4 credit hours.<br />
Accuplacer (TASP alternative) Test (non-refundable $5 - $29<br />
Articulation (per semester credit hour, Non-Tech Prep) $10<br />
Building (per semester credit hour with $90 minimum) $15<br />
Copy <strong>of</strong> Receipt (additional) $1<br />

Distance Education Fee (PC, VCR, VCT, per course, non-refundable) $50<br />

Repeat Course Fee (per semester credit hour fee charged [in addition to tuition] $85<br />
on third and subsequent graded enrollments for a course, non-refundable)<br />
Replacement Certificate or Diploma $5<br />

Student Service (per semester credit hour – $15 minimum and $24 maximum) $15 - $24<br />

3. Total the number <strong>of</strong> credits. In the example above,<br />
the total number <strong>of</strong> credit hours is 14.<br />
(4+3+3+1+3=14).<br />

STEP 3<br />
Determine the amount due:<br />
Option I<br />
Go to www.lee.edu/business<strong>of</strong>fice/tuition_cost.asp for<br />
an automatic tuition & fees calculator.<br />
Option II<br />
1. Look on at the credit hours column on the Tuition &<br />
Fees table at http://www.lee.edu/business<strong>of</strong>fice /tuition_table.asp.<br />
As determined in Step #1 – “Determine your residency<br />
status” (above), choose your status:<br />
(1) In-district.<br />
(2) Out-<strong>of</strong>-district.<br />
(3) Non-resident.<br />
2. Add the fees along the row and you will see the<br />
total for the number <strong>of</strong> credit hours for each residency<br />
status.<br />
3. Add the lab and other fees for each course. These<br />
are subject to change based on legislative and<br />
board action.<br />
Current fee costs are available on the <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />
web site (www.lee.edu/business<strong>of</strong>fice/tuition<br />
_course.asp) and from the Business Office. See the<br />
section on Career Pilot Program Fees for details on<br />
flight training.<br />
*In-District: Residence is served by the Goose Creek<br />
Independent School District.<br />
**If you live outside the district but own property<br />
within GCCISD, present your paid tax receipt to the<br />
cashier’s <strong>of</strong>fice at the time <strong>of</strong> registration payment in<br />
order to receive tuition credit.<br />
