This course is <strong>of</strong>fered entirely online through <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>College</strong> WebCT. There is NO LECTURE component. All assignments and exams will be handled online.<br />

Students should have daily access to a personal computer and be able to resolve technical difficulties as they arise. Students not comfortable working with e-mail,<br />

discussion boards, web browsing, or online exams should NOT take this course. Utilizing dial-up connection is not recommended, as you will probably experience<br />

problems with WebCT. If you are not familiar with WebCT, I strongly encourage you to take a few minutes and go through the Online Student Orientation Module<br />

that you can get to by going to https://webct.lee.edu and looking for the login information on that page. This site is NOT where your real classes are located. It is<br />

only a training site. <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong>fers orientation classes for those new to the online class experience, you may contact the Counseling Center to find out the<br />

SOCW 2362 is an online course focusing on the introduction to the study <strong>of</strong> modern social work through the evaluation <strong>of</strong> social welfare policy, underlying<br />

philosophy, ethics <strong>of</strong> social work, and the major division/ types <strong>of</strong> social work together with their methods and objectives. An orientation will be conducted at 6:00<br />

pm on Monday, January 14, <strong>2013</strong> in SS215. The orientation will be followed by a mandatory library tour at 6:45 pm in the library. Students must have access to the<br />

Internet and the ability to use Micros<strong>of</strong>t Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). This course is <strong>of</strong>fered through WebCT. For more information contact Laura Prati at<br />
