BOYS’ FOOTBALL REVIEW continued
Year 10
The season started very well as we eased through until
Christmas unbeaten and riding high. We faltered a little in the
league after Christmas, but still made it through to the league
final after an excellent battling semi-final victory in the rain
and mud. Unfortunately it wasn't to be, however, as we
narrowly lost in the final in a very evenly contested game. The
Leeds Schools’ Cup gave us an opportunity to pick up the
silverware that our play throughout the season deserved,
and that was achieved in some style, with a 2- 0 victory in the
final at South Leeds Stadium.
Notable mentions go to Ben Hopkinson, Joel Davenport and
Elliot Morgan for their consistently good play throughout the
season, as well as to Dom Howard and Will McLoughlin for
some excellent performances in their first season with us
and, finally, to Daniel Fletcher for an assured goal keeping
performance in the cup final.

The 1 XI had an indifferent season showing good
form in the league but struggling for results in the cup
competitions! The key performers throughout the
season were Joe Pinnick, Tom White, captain Greg
Rowell, player of the season Joe Marsden and the
prolific strike partnership of Jack Moglia and Matthew
Hartley who shared 20 goals between them. Jordan
McKenna deserves a special mention for his efforts
refereeing several teams throughout the season.
