• The Shared Communities<br />
Programme includes the estates<br />
of Lisanally and Alexander,<br />
<strong>Armagh</strong>. The aim of the<br />
programme is to develop Shared<br />
<strong>Housing</strong> Communities where<br />
people choose to live with others<br />
regardless of their religion or<br />
race, in a neighbourhood that is<br />
safe and welcoming to all and<br />
threatening to no-one. A<br />
‘Christmas around the world’<br />
event was held in November to<br />
promote awareness between<br />
different cultures;<br />
• Three schemes for 22 social housing units in rural communities were on site at 31 st<br />
March 2013;<br />
• A scheme for 12 dwellings was completed in Middletown;<br />
• We carried out Latent Demand Testing in Derrynoose during 2012/13.<br />
Action Plan 2013/14<br />
• Continue to focus on urban renewal and estate-based strategy programmes;<br />
• Publish our Rural Action Plan 2013-15 and continue to work on behalf of rural<br />
communities;<br />
• Continue to work with DSD and Supporting Communities <strong>Northern</strong> <strong>Ireland</strong> to<br />
deliver a range of programmes to the local community;<br />
• Continue to support the work of the Social Investment Fund;<br />
• Continue to work with the communities at Lisanally and Alexander through the<br />
Shared Communities Programme.<br />
