Chapter 1. System Overview Basic Operations 1. Place a clean sponge in the tray. Note: Use a new sponge for each cleaning. 2. Position the tray between the brackets on the bottom of the printhead. 3. Slide the tray into place (Figure 1.21). Figure 1.21 Installing the printhead cleaning/storage tray Placing the Printhead in the Print Position The printhead must be in the print position during printing and prior to closing the printhead mount cover. Caution: Before placing the printhead in the print position, verify that the area beneath the printhead is clear of objects and the printhead cleaning/ storage tray has been removed.
