Links with Industry
The programme is vocationally oriented with regular input from professionals
such as IT directors, IT managers, system analysts, game developers, and
support managers. To provide students with an opportunity to appreciate a
real­life working environment, a two­credit optional course called “Industrial
Work Experience” is offered to students to allow them to gain experience in an
industrial setting. With this course, our Division could also maintain a good
relationship with our employers and understand their needs.
Career Opportunities
Graduates will have the necessary foundation to develop careers as
programmers, Webmasters, Internet application developers, system support
specialists, IT technologists, database administrators, e­commerce application
developers, media designers, consultants, user trainers, help­line supports,
and IT sales, etc.
Students are also equipped for successful careers in areas like accountancy,
marketing, sales, banking, finance and multi­media in senior positions such as
system analyst, application development manager, technical support manager,
or computer security professionals.
