On September 9, l9Si, the Club held the annual<br />

party at the Smith House in Cambridge, Mass.,<br />

for the entering class <strong>of</strong> boys from the Greater<br />

Boston Area who are going to <strong>Notre</strong> <strong>Dame</strong>.<br />

BOB MARR '59 did an excellent job as chairman.<br />

Pr<strong>of</strong>. FRANK O'MALLEY from the <strong>University</strong><br />

spoke eloquently concerning the students and<br />

the programs <strong>of</strong> the school.<br />

REV. THOMAS J. CORR, CSC, the new president<br />

<strong>of</strong> Stonehill College, gave an inspiring talk<br />

to the young men. President NEIL FOWLER and<br />

National Alumni Board member TIM TOOMEY<br />

>poke briefly.<br />

A highlight for the ninety-odd that attended was<br />

the appearance <strong>of</strong> four local students who are now<br />

seniors at the <strong>University</strong> and who gave an excellent<br />

Wewpoint to the meeting.<br />

After the Victory* Dance at the 46 Club on<br />

The <strong>Notre</strong> <strong>Dame</strong> Alumni Club <strong>of</strong> Buffalo held<br />

its own version <strong>of</strong> "Freshman Orientation" on Wednesday,<br />

Sept. 9, 19&f. This annual affair, at which<br />

entering freshmen and their fathers were guests<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Club, u-as well attended by both the Alumni<br />

members and the special guests. Speaking on the<br />

subject <strong>of</strong> "The Value <strong>of</strong> a <strong>Notre</strong> <strong>Dame</strong> Education"<br />
