FOOTBALL '64: A SEASON<br />
FOR THE RECORD BOOK<br />
^1^ HE 1964 football season will be<br />
J[ long remembered at <strong>Notre</strong> <strong>Dame</strong>.<br />
And not just because Coach Ara Parseghian<br />
and his men achieved the ver)'<br />
fine record <strong>of</strong> nine M'ins and but one<br />
loss.<br />
The record book will make sure tliat<br />
this will be listed as a great season as<br />
it was one in which 24 new Fighting<br />
Irish gridiron records were set and two<br />
more tied.<br />
:& Individually, John Huarte, Heisman<br />
trophy winner and senior quarterback<br />
from Anaheim, Calif., accounted for<br />
nine new records and tied anotlier, and<br />
Jack Snow, senior split end from Long<br />
Beach, Calif., set five others.<br />
