Bachelor of<br />
Sustainability<br />
This degree is in an innovative<br />
and creative interdisciplinary<br />
degree utilising subjects in<br />
environmental science, marine<br />
and tropical biology, ecology,<br />
social science, business, law,<br />
anthropology and tourism,<br />
broadly grouped into three<br />
sustainability core themes<br />
(ecological, social and economic).<br />
Students will also complete a<br />
disciplinary major.<br />
Course highlights<br />
The Bachelor of Sustainability<br />
is cross-faculty, incorporating<br />
conservation, ecology, planning,<br />
resource management,<br />
tourism, agriculture, ecology,<br />
environmental science, social<br />
sciences and business. Subjects<br />
also take full advantage of the<br />
exceptional fieldwork facilities<br />
at JCU – from reef to rainforest.<br />
Specialisations include Business,<br />
Science and Social Science.<br />

The Bachelor of Sustainability<br />

sustainability practitioners.<br />

Diploma of Science<br />
The Diploma is a flexible,<br />
one-year course that combines<br />
introductory subjects from<br />
the Bachelor of Science. The<br />
Diploma is designed for people<br />
who do not have the academic<br />
entry requirements for their<br />
preferred course and need a<br />
pathway course, or people who<br />
like to try university study before<br />
enrolling in a full degree. The<br />
course includes a wide variety of<br />
subjects and students will receive<br />
advanced standing/credit towards<br />
a Bachelor of Science for subjects<br />
successfully completed.<br />
