Tomoka’s Field Day is May 14th!
Mark your calendars for Tomoka Elementary’s Annual Field day event. This
year we are having some new events, relays and fun for all ages. All grade levels will
participate in Field Day on Friday May 14th.
WEATHER AND DRESS: It will be a hot and active day we suggest the following dress code. A
bathing suit may be worn underneath clothing only, NOT by itself. Socks and tennis shoes are
needed as well as a change of clothes and shoes. There will be water activities, but children will not
get soaked. Proper sunscreen is also suggested.
FOOD AND DRINKS: We need donations of food and drinks for 800+ hungry and thirsty kids. Your
contribution will be greatly appreciated. Please drop off donations at the front office starting May 1 st .
Primary grades K, 1, 2 are asked to bring individually wrapped foods such as chips, cookies,
crackers, etc.
Intermediate grades, 3, 4, 5 are asked to bring juice boxes, juice bags or water.
VOLUNTEERS: We rely on our volunteers to help make this the most memorable day of the year for
our students. We have several events planned and need volunteers to run the stations. If you can
volunteer your time, please print and fill out the below form and return it to the office. You may also
reply in email to jhevans@volusia.k12.fl.
We are going at have 3 sessions. Tentatively we are looking at the following schedule. You may
volunteer for a certain session or for the whole day. More information will be coming home in May.
5 th & 3 rd 8:15 – 10:00
4 th & 2 nd 10:15 – 12:00
K & 1 st 12:15 – 2:00
I am available to volunteer for Field Day on Friday, May 14 th .
