Land snails (Pulmonata)
The ANHAT database has 43124 records for 1914 species and subspecies of land snails. Of
these, 135 species account for almost 50% of the total species records in ANHAT. These
species have over 70 records each and are identified in Table 56. Given snails do not
generally have a high-profile among the public, this is a relatively extensive list of species
with a reasonable number of records.
