PALM DESERT, CA – <strong>October</strong> 25, <strong>2014</strong>: Over 500 people came out to<br />
support Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Desert at its 3rd annual Ramblin’<br />
N Gamblin’ event on Saturday, <strong>October</strong> 18, <strong>2014</strong> at Regency Ranch in<br />
Rancho Mirage. The event raised a record-breaking $65,000 which will<br />
help fund its one-to-one youth mentoring program which serves the entire<br />
Coachella Valley.<br />
The event drew over 500 guests who enjoyed the old west town of Regency<br />
Ranch filled with mechanical bull rides, live music, line dancing,<br />
casino tables, a paint-ball shooting gallery and food and refreshments from<br />
The Slice, Maracas Restaurant, Roc’s Firehouse, Johnny Rockets, Nothing<br />
Bundt Cakes and more. A special car drawing was sponsored by Crystal<br />
Chrysler for a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Sport with winner Mary Levine announced.<br />
Attendees included Tricia Solomon Eppelheimer, Peter Solomon,<br />
George and Sue Velarde, Bob Iglehart, David Suss and Sue Rappaport,<br />

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Desert has provided its one-to-one mentoring<br />
program to Coachella Valley America for over 17 years. The Big Brothers<br />
Big Sisters program is the leader in one-to-one youth service, developing<br />
positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives<br />
of young people.<br />
“This event has surpassed our goals and grown so quickly in just three<br />
years.” said Judy Tobin May, Executive Director of Big Brothers, Big Sisters<br />
of the Desert. “Everyone feels great after an evening like this because not<br />
only did they walk away with great memories but the money raised goes<br />
towards a much needed program which helps kids in our community.”<br />

Palm Springs Animal Shelter on Friday, July 6 from 6 to 8 pm at 830 North Palm Canyon<br />
Drive. The event will also showcase a handful of new pop-up stores, including Pelago, Miriade<br />
SRL, and Pawz Palm Springs.<br />
