In FY2006, Frontline’s associate company in Thailand,
G-Able, was awarded a contract by Kasetsart University
to plan and design the University’s first disaster recovery
solution, to enhance the stability and reliability of
the system to render IT services within the university.
In addition, an IT infrastructure and applications
maintenance systems contract was secured from
Total Access Communication Public Company Limited
(DTAC), strengthening G-Able’s presence in the
telecommunications industry. G-Able also continues to
grow in strength in the banking and retail sectors, and
going forward, we aim to grow our solutions focus in the
areas of IT security and IT outsourcing.
Deployed in over 110 bank branches across the country, the
Sun open-systems solution provides flexibility and ease, thus
increasing productivity and service within the bank.
SunPhil has also clinched a project from the Department of
Interior and Local Government (“DILG”) for the development
of a Local Government Unit Information Portal. Working with
a local partner, SunPhil helped create a single e-government
services gateway to DILG and the Local Government Units.
SunPhil continues to strengthen its presence in the banking,
telecommunications and government sectors.
Showcasing consistent growth over six quarters, Sun
Philippines (“SunPhil”) grew to capture 56% of the UNIX
market share, making us the No. 1 player in UNIX solutions
and boosting our growth in the commercial sector and in
channel distribution. In the banking industry, a contract
was won with a leading bank to install a Sun open-systems
platform to improve service deployment and lower costs.
