Arts’ on academic bachelor and master degree level. The MAD faculty strives to be
an important player both in Flanders and on an international level. Besides we have
four different research groups. Art, Object & Design is one of them. The aim of this
research group is to do fundamental and applied research into art, craft and design
and preferably within a crossover between these three contexts. The object of
research lies in the study of the design (strategies), the (conceptual) meaning and

are based on the traditional national handcrafts and the program is based on

County, the name of the town is Focsani. Focsani is situated in the South-East of
Romania, in a convenient socio-economical aria. The living standard of the people
living is not very high. The parents are, generally, well educated.
Our institution has been settled in 1995 and it represents an answer to the need
of educating/forming the talented children from the artistic point of view. Here our
students study painting, architecture, sculpture, cloth design, web-design and to play
different musical instruments.
Among our pupils there are some in need (financial speaking) who prove to be
very talented. We discover and then we help them, supporting them by offering
them special conditions and more attention.

We also have pupils who have only one parent next to them, because the other
one is abroad, trying to find a better paid job for a better life. Another case is the
one which refers to one of our 11-th grade pupil, who came from Israel. His family
and relatives are considered refugees because they had to leave Israel for Romania
because of military strife in his home area. We also have students who came from
Cyprus, Republic of Moldova and Turkey. We intend to involve all these pupils (with
special educational needs) equally in the project and to work with their mates
making researchers, drawings, pictures, handcrafts and texts, using the new
techniques.
Our school has been involved in many national and bilateral cooperations
programmes and even exchanges. Nowadays we are involved in a national
programme of helping the atypical children which implies a collaboration with "Elena
Doamna" Scholar Centre/ Focsani (a school for children with disabilities of hearing,
they are half deaf). This programme is called "The National Strategy- Communitary
Action".
We have a cultural artistic educational collaboration with "The Child's Care"
Focsani, which is a non profit association for the child protection.
We coordinate an Association called "Milcovia", which deals with shaping new
artistic talents discovered among our students.

The Centro Albayzín, a training centre in craftwork, restoration and conservation of
historical, artistic and cultural heritage, is a consortium belonging to the Council for
Employment of the Regional Government of Andalusia and participated by the
Granada City Council. Starting its activities in March 2001, it is a specialised
vocational training centre in the fields of brickwork and stone, ceramics and wood.
This centre is aimed to boost the sector of craftwork and restoration by bringing
together all professionals, enterprises and institutions involved, taking into account
their interests and suggestions, and trying to give efficient response to specific

needs. Investigation, dissemination and most of all training of well skilled
professionals are the instruments to favour the development of an economic and
professional sector which is essential to the correct protection of our cultural goods.
Its aims are:
To train qualified professionals in the field of craftwork, restoration and conservation
of cultural heritage, fostering its access to the labour market in a promising sector.
To contribute to the specialization and updating of skills of professionals working in
this sector, fostering its development and meeting the needs of enterprises for
qualified workers.
To create and put into practice innovative methods related to training in this field.
To investigate new intervention methods, as well as to recover and maintain the
traditional regional knowhow in craftwork, restoration and conservation of cultural
heritage.
To keep constant contact with other training centres in the same field in Europe,
America and the Mediterranean Basin.
To participate in initiatives related to evaluation, employment management and
entrepreneurship.
Its main training courses are:

- Carpentry/ cabinet-making craftwork
- Ceramics craftwork
- Assistant to conservation and restoration of buildings
- Assistant to conservation and restoration of wood
- Assistant to conservation and restoration of archaeological findings
The Centro Albayzín is very active at international level, running and participating in
many european projects, as well as networks (e.g. ELIA).

The origin of the Faculty of Technology can be traced back to 1937 when the country
needed a technical college to meet technical teacher’s demands for vocational
schools. The college had a comprehensive three-year programs of technical teacher
education. In 1976 Technical Teachers College started to four-year programs. In 1982
the college renamed as The Faculty of Technical Education which offered Bachelor of
Science degree. Since 2009, the Faculty of Technical Education has been serving as
the Faculty of Technology.
The Faculty of Technology educates student as technical teacher for vocational
schools as well as applied engineer for industry. The faculty is seeking to achieve
academic excellence by providing outstanding instruction in technology, and also is
fostering scientific research of the highest quality. In order to meet its mission, the
faculty is committed to meeting the needs of students, and is truly dedicated to
provide a superior education to the prepared students.
The faculty is offering a current curriculum that incorporates the fundamental
principles as well as the latest discoveries in the major scientific disciplines.
The aim of the Faculty of Technology
In the Faculty of Technology, the programs are designed to prepare technical
teachers and applied engineers for employment in vocational high schools, in
industry and government. All academic programs in the faculty include significant
hands-on laboratory components and designed to prepare students for practical
work rather than for jobs that require more theoretical and scientific knowledge.
The Faculty of Technology consists of 6 departments for education. The faculty has
over 220 full-time academic staff, who instructs about 6300 undergraduate students.

students learn common school subjects such as Math’s, Science, History and PE… On
the second and third years, we provide them with vocational education. On the forth
year they do internships at sector area.
Karamürsel is a small seaside town in Kocaeli, which neighbors İstanbul and Bursa,
is a highly industrialized city. There are many national, international and
multinational producing companies and factories. Our school is one of the VET
schools in our city, which prepares the students for this competitive labor market.
There are fairs and competitions to provide VET and we participate in such
organizations with many projects to better respond to labor market needs and
improve our training capacity.
Our aim is to promote cooperation with European VET Providers and bodies involved
in education and training systems in order to provide our students with the skills
required by the European labor market in the near future. We would like to address
the new skills, such as entrepreneurship, needed in vocational education and

wood painting, jewellery design, handcrafts from fabric, stone, wood, etc. for public
of Hocalar. As Public Education Center our aim is to contact a European Union
Project about handcraft especially about rug weaving with madder. A LdV VETPRO
project cuold contribute us to improve our activities in handcraft making. To meet
different organiztions from differet countries and make good realitionships to be
partner for our project wil be possible this contact seminar. This seminar,in Finland
in Espoo, provide us an opportunity to find partners for our project. The concept of
our project is traditional rug weaving with organic madder. This style is a very
ancient and natural sort of method, for that reason it is very valuable for us. Our
grand parents have used this style for their rugs, carpets, bags, kyack, saddlebag, etc.
In ancient times there weren't ant synthetic or chemical sort of paints but organic
and healthy sort of madder. Today we want to use this method again with the help
of this project.
