As of 31 December 2010, thirteen <strong>airlines</strong> were members of the SkyTeam Alliance:<br />
Aeroflot, Aeroméxico, Air Europa, Air France, Alitalia, China Southern Airlines, Czech<br />
Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Kenya Airways, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Korean Air,<br />
Tarom and Vietnam Airlines. Through one of the world’s most extensive network<br />
hubs of member <strong>airlines</strong>, the SkyTeam Alliance offered, in the past year alone, 384<br />
million passengers a system of more than 13,000 flights per day to 898 destinations<br />
in 169 countries.<br />
The year 2010 was marked by a significant enlargement of the alliance. The accession<br />
process has begun with China Eastern Airlines, China Airlines, Garuda<br />
Indonesia and Aerolineas Argentinas. The actual entry of China Eastern Airlines and<br />
China Airlines into the alliance should take place throughout 2011. In the first quarter<br />
of 2011, Saudi Arabian Airlines and Middle East Airlines also signed agreements on<br />
accession to the SkyTeam Alliance.
