Lisburn Policing Plan Objective Performance Indicator Target 1. In partnership with other agencies, to make communities and neighbourhoods safe and feel safe 1.1 The number of recorded crimes. 1.2 The level of more serious violent crimes. 1.1.2 To reduce the number of crimes recorded by 5% pts. (1) 1.2.2 To reduce the level of violent crime by 10% pts. (1) 1.4 The availability of illegal drugs. 1.4.2 To increase the number of drug seizures (1) 1.4.3 To increase the value of money seized (1) 1.4.4 To continue to increase the use of stop and searches. (1,2) 1.5 The number of incidents of anti-social behaviour. 1.5.2 To increase the number of alcohol seizures by 5%. (3) 1.7 The number of people killed or seriously injured on the road. 1.7.3 To reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured on the road by increasing enforcement around the top causation factor. (1,4) 1.9 The number of bail checks 1.9.1 To increase the number of detections of breach of court bail conditions by 8%. (2) 1.10 The number of burglaries. 1.10.1 To reduce the number of domestic and commercial burglaries by 10% and 2% respectively, and to increase the number of detections of people going equipped (1) 2. To continue to build, broaden and sustain confidence in the police 2.4 The percentage of recorded crimes cleared. 2.4.1 To increase the clearance rate by 3% pts. (1) 3. To ensure that Policing with the Community is at the core of delivery of the policing service 3.1 Implementation of the five principles of Policing with the Community: • Service delivery • Partnership • Problem solving • Empowerment • Accountability 3.1.3 To ensure that Neighbourhood Officers work at least 80% of their duty hours on neighbourhood policing duties. 18
