B2.2 HEALTH, SAFETY AND SECURITY (including RISK ASSESSMENTS)
All the maintenance and public usage of the site is carefully monitored for health and
safety. The main policies are as follows:

Additionally:
• Our Safe System for the removal of needles and syringes can be found in Appendix
D3.
• Dog walkers are frequent visitors to the park and Sheffield City Council (SCC)
welcomes and promotes responsible dog ownership. The site has four dog bins and
bags are available free of charge from the first Start Centre in the Park
• . SCC’s policy and practices relating to dogs can be found at

• Emergency contact numbers are displayed on the park notice boards.
• Cleaning equipment and chemicals are safely stored in the cleaner’s cupboard in the
First Start Centre in the Park. Fuel and machinery are securely stored in the Garage
with the required notices and procedures in place.
• The Rangers also store Equipment in the First Start centres garage area, which is a
secure room, which is only accessible by trained operatives.
