The course is suitable for students who are interested in sports
and the principles of sport.
It is a vocational course therefore students learn through
practical experiences, therefore the course expands students’
knowledge and confidence in the area of sport with an
emphasis on outdoor activities.
Practical sessions will be held at The Urdd centre in Glanllyn
where there will be an opportunity to practice water based
sport skills e.g kayaking, and land based sports e.g.
orienteering.
The qualification is equivalent to one A-Level . The course
must be studied for two years to gain the qualification.
Possible Future Areas for Study

It is possible to continue to study the area of sport through
specific learning pathways at further and higher education. It
is possible to study sport courses at college or at university.
