Significant changes in the state of affairs
there were no significant changes in the state of affairs of the Foundation during the year.
Environmental regulation
the Foundation’s operations are not subject to any environmental regulation. the Foundation’s operations do not impact the
environment in any significant manner.
Events subsequent to balance date
Since 30 June 2009 there has not arisen in the interval between the end of the period and the date of this report any item,
transaction or event of a material nature likely, in the opinion of the trustees, to affect significantly the operations of the Foundation,
the results of those operations, or the state of affairs of the Foundation, in subsequent periods.
Likely developments
the Foundation will continue to pursue the principal activities for which it was formed.
Trustees’ benefits
no trustee has received or became entitled to receive any benefit, other than those trustees who are in the full time employment
of the Library, by reason of a contract made by the Foundation or a related body corporate with a trustee or with a firm of which a
trustee is a member or with an entity in which the trustee has a substantial interest.
Trustees’ indemnification and insurance
as the Foundation is a controlled entity of the Library Council of new South Wales (Library Council), the Foundation’s
insurances are included with the Library Council’s insurances through the new South Wales treasury Managed Fund Scheme of
self-insurance for General Government agencies. under this scheme, the trustees are insured for liabilities that may arise from
their position with the exception of conduct involving a wilful breach of duty or improper use of information to gain a personal
advantage.

three (3) Foundation Board meetings were held during the period on the following dates: 22 July 2008, 15 december 2008 and
29 June 2009.
