<strong>Schachterle</strong> shares about<br />

her life in the spotlight, the challenges<br />

of working with big name stars and<br />

the roller coaster of emotions she<br />

experiences while waiting for a heart<br />

transplant.<br />

Most women experience it. You’re<br />

dancing to a tune on life’s stage and<br />

something happens to shift your world<br />

unexpectedly. But for <strong>Sarah</strong> <strong>Schachterle</strong>,<br />

known as “Shack” in the industry, the<br />

180 degree turn changed her world<br />

and challenged her to step back and<br />

re-choreograph her life to a new song.<br />

“From the moment I was born I was<br />

running a million miles a minute,” <strong>Sarah</strong><br />

says. “I never slept, never sat down,<br />

never said no to anybody. I didn’t want<br />

anybody to think I was incapable of doing<br />

anything. I wouldn’t stop even when I hit<br />

my limit. But I got a slap in the face. I had<br />

a lot of warning signs and didn’t listen.<br />

But it’s taught me to slow down and let<br />

go. It wasn’t easy, but it’s what I’ve had to<br />

learn through this process and because of<br />

it, I believe I’ve become a better person<br />

for it…and a better mom.”<br />
