Whether ice hockey, baseball or
soccer, Regensburg is the home to
successful sports teams. For the
people of Regensburg and their
guests, it is a must to be in the stadium
supporting their favorite
team every week.
Largest Baseball Stadium in
Germany
The best baseball team in Germany plays
in the Armin-Wolf-Arena in Regensburg.
The Buchbinder Legionnaires have won
the German championship in four of
the last five years. Their stadium on the
Donaustaufer Straße is biggest stadium in
Germany and has regularly played host to
international baseball tournaments. The
baseball season runs from spring to early
fall. Each weekend there are games, sometimes
double-headers on
Friday night and Saturday.

plays on Sundays

Ice Hockey with the EVR Team
When the baseball season ends in the
fall, the hockey season begins. The EV (Ice
Hockey Club) Regensburg plays in the German
“Oberliga”- the third league in the
German system. The 40 game season begins
in August with home games taking
America‘s Pastime
in Germany.
