Like every other activity, the promotion of a country needs a good<br />
manager. From this point of view Slovenia is in good hands. Th e<br />
Slovenian Tourist Board is not only a good tourism strategist, it is<br />
a good example of the correct attitude towards a country and its<br />
natural and cultural heritage.<br />
Th e Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) is the<br />
major national tourist organization which:<br />
• plans and implements the promotion of<br />
our country as a tourist destination<br />
• links existing products and programmes<br />
of national importance and<br />
advances the development of new ones<br />
• promotes the setting up of integrated<br />
tourist <strong>info</strong>rmation infrastructure<br />
• executes research and development<br />
work<br />
Th e STB is the contact and central point in<br />
the complex network of Slovenian tourism<br />
that plays the co-ordinating and linking<br />
role between the public, private and civil<br />
sectors. Th e STB is the marketing, <strong>info</strong>rmation<br />
and analytical tourist centre of the<br />
All of the more important tourist centres<br />
in Slovenia have their own tourist <strong>info</strong>rmation<br />
centres (TIC’s), which off er tourists upto-date<br />
<strong>info</strong>rmation on local tourism. Th e<br />

At the Slovenian Tourist Board we are committed<br />
