General Settings
General settings define fundamental system defaults.
Table 3-2 describes the General Settings options.

Description
This option displays the format currently selected for the project. It cannot
be changed.
When you use the Drag-and-Drop Export or an export that creates an
intermediate movie file, NewsCutter XP must store the intermediate file,
which can be as large as the final export. By default, the Temporary File
Directory is located in the same directory as NewsCutter XP.
To improve efficiency or to avoid DISK_FULL errors when exporting, you
can set a different directory for these temporary files. Click Set and
navigate to a directory on the drive to which you will be exporting or
simply one with plenty of free space.
This option specifies the timecode value you want the system to use as the
default starting timecode for each new sequence.
