The journey begins at the delta of the legendary Yang Tse (Yellow River), coinciding with the
birth of the son of the Emperor for the Shang Dynasty (1766-1122 b.c.), so you will find some
halls decorated with commemorative flags.
At the Port of Waitan you can get a junk and sail to the old Mediterranean Sea (two of the four junks were brought from
China and the other two are precious replicas of the real ones). But, if you prefer to continue your journey through
this wide country, get deep into the agricultural town of Xaimpang, in which upper side the Emperor has settled
his Summer residence: a recreation of Beijing’s “Ciudad Prohibida” (Forbidden City). If you keep walking to the
outskirts, you will find a Mongolian camp at the borders of the Gran Muralla (Great Wall) (an exact reproduction,
both as regards of materials and size, of a stretch of the Wall located in Badaling, just 25 miles away from Beijing).
Genuine script
Yen Xuen Lin, a teacher in Chinese brush in Barcelona, took charge of the sign painting for the whole China area,
in order to ensure a faithful theme featuring. She herself, based on the type of building, created a message and
changed the scripting. At the port of Waitan messages of all kinds can be read, from official announcement to
personal requests. The messages, in order to avert bad luck are never written on a white background.
Therefore, there is no other possible impression but that of feeling deeply involved in the Asian culture and
landscapes. A bamboo forest and vegetation, perfectly made to fit the them and at the same time respectful to the
Mediterranean climate, lead us to an atmosphere plenty of surprises, exotism and authenticity.
