SésamoAventura
Let’s take a break from our trip around the real world and jump into a cartoon universe. In
SésamoAventura friendly characters are waiting for us: Elmo, Grover, the Cookie Monster, and others
such as Bert and Ernie. Welcome to PortAventura’s family area, where children are in charge!
A big entrance arch with lots of well-known faces tells us that we are in SésamoAventura, Europe’s home to the
famous Sesame Street characters. Reality becomes transformed into an animated world of buildings and landscapes,
with bright colours and rounded shapes: lampposts twist like candy sticks, fountains look like piglets and there is even
an ice cream parlour in the shape of a cupcake. We are in a place specifically designed for families, who have been
asking for years for somewhere like this, where parents can get on rides with their small children. And here it is: the
rides in this area are suitable for children from the age of one year.
Without a doubt the most eye-catching aspect is the enormous tree keeping watch over the area and ready to receive
us with a big smile. As large as a building, the branches of the Magic Tree light up at night and there is a wonderful
view of the whole of SésamoAventura from the terrace built into its trunk It is also the perfect spot for a memorable
family photo. There are numerous attractions situated around the tree, including the PortAventura train station.
Created for families, this train station allows rapid access from the main entrance of the park so that families visiting
the park with children in prams and pushchairs don’t have to travel long distances on foot. We can also take this train
to easily reach the other end of the park: Far West.
