keratoplasty, and to be alert to the possibility of sympathetic ophthalmitis in<br />
the event that the patient develops visual complaints in the better eye.<br />
• Delayed onset of Sympathetic ophthalmitis can be suddenly precipitated<br />
by corneal transplantation in eyes with old history of penetrating injury.<br />
• It is important to examine the normal eyes especially in the follow-up visit<br />
in cases of corneal transplantation done for adherent leucoma following<br />
penetrating injury.<br />
