How to distinguish the trouble<br />

1. View mechanical part if visual damage occurred.<br />

Confirm the movement of mechanical parts assembly<br />

(tray ass’y, loading mechanism ass’y, etc.).<br />

2. Diagnose if Optical Pickup Unit is faulty (refer to<br />

diagnosis of Optical Pickup Unit).<br />

3. If mechanism and OPU are OK, it is P.C.B.<br />

Cause 1<br />

Possible fault<br />

1. AC Inlet Circuit/Voltage Selector Circuit Fuse Blow (F1,F2), Power Transformer Problem(T501,<br />

T502), Wrong Selection of Selector (S501)<br />

2. Power Circuit Fuse Blow (F3, F4) FP951, FP950 open<br />

3. Power Amp Circuit IC502 faulty<br />

4. Power Supply Circuit IC500, IC501 faulty<br />

5. Panel Circuit FL Display Problem (-VP → Q950 faulty/ FP951 open/ D961<br />

faulty)<br />

SVS6V to Micro-P (Q951/ D965 faulty) Problem<br />

1. Mechanical block Tray and loading mechanical block, traverse unit, deck unit<br />

2. O.P.U. Refer to the diagnosis of OPU<br />

3. Circuit IC307 faulty (check for pin 31, 32)<br />

IC701 faulty (check for pin 2, 23)<br />

4. Power circuit Refer to Cause 1<br />
