About the Artists
Seattle Jewish Community School Students
The cover design was crafted by the 2nd-grade class at Seattle Jewish Community School for
its annual gala in February 2013. Each student was asked to draw one building and one mode
of transportation that they saw around Seattle. Dori Glass, a volunteer whose niece and nephew
attend the school, scanned, cropped, and combined the images into a collage. That created the
charming and enchanting landscape displayed on this year’s Guide cover.
