Allegheny County EI Resources<br />

The Alliance <strong>for</strong> Infants and Toddlers, Inc., was established in 1988 by a Federal grant to<br />

assist families <strong>of</strong> low birth weight infants. In 1992, the Alliance was chosen by Allegheny<br />

County as the Early Intervention Service Coordination Agency <strong>for</strong> families <strong>of</strong> <strong>children</strong>,<br />

ages birth to three years, who have developmental concerns.<br />

The Alliance For Infants and Toddlers, Inc. is the service coordination unit <strong>for</strong> families <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>children</strong> receiving Early Intervention services (birth to three years <strong>of</strong> age) in Allegheny<br />

County.<br />

How to Get Started:<br />

Families <strong>with</strong> concerns about their child’s (age birth to 3) development or who would like<br />

to know more about Early Intervention services should contact The Alliance For Infants<br />

and Toddlers, Inc., at 412-885-6000.<br />

Families <strong>with</strong> a child between the ages <strong>of</strong> 3 and 5 should contact the Allegheny<br />

County/City <strong>of</strong> Pittsburgh, Early Childhood Education Program at 1-866-214-KIDS (5437).<br />

valued neighbors, workers, and full citizens <strong>of</strong> our Commonwealth.
