The Precision Servo Motor is a high-performance and noiseless<br />

actuator, introduced by ESU, suitable for the SwitchPilot decoders.<br />

It uses a highly-developed remote control (RC) technique<br />

and is perfectly suited for setting in motion all kinds of scenes<br />

on your layout. ESU has put all the experience gained with the<br />

previous servo motor into the new Precision version, which is<br />

better than other servo products, to offer a solution for all the<br />

demands of model railroaders.<br />

Applications<br />

The most important application regarding the Precision Servo<br />

Motor is to throw points. With the help of the Precision Servo<br />

Motor you are able to move your model railway switches like<br />

the original ones: the switch blade moves slowly and powerfully<br />

from one position to another.<br />

While doing this the Precision Servo motor works almost noiselessly<br />

due to the precision gearing made of long-lasting plastic.<br />

It is mere child´s play to motorize railway crossings via the Precision<br />

Servo motor and the SwitchPilot Servo. At last you can let<br />

the gates down at your keyboard in due time. Furthermore the<br />

Servo motor enables you to open and close the doors of your<br />

engine shed by remote control. Thanks to its new electronics<br />

Precision Servo Motor - Metal<br />

ESU proudly presents a further, newly-developed servo motor<br />

for all ambitious model railway fans. The „Precision Servo Motor<br />

- Metal“ is preferred by all model railroaders who look for a<br />

powerful servo with metal gearing. Thanks to its metal gearing<br />

the ESU Precision Servo Motor moves considerably smoother<br />

than other servos, as the ESU product has been optimized for<br />

slow motions.<br />

Mini servo<br />

The most important component of the Precision Servo Motor is<br />

a tiny, 9-gram-light mini servo which has been specially developed<br />

and optimized for all demands of a model railway layout.<br />

Despite its small dimensions of only 26 mm x 13 mm x 24 mm,<br />

it reaches a power of up to 1.0 kg/cm. Its cable length of 30cm<br />

(almost twice as long as cables of other standard servos on the<br />

market) allows for a longer distance between the<br />

servo motor and decoder. Beyond that, an electronic<br />

processor-controlled servo enables a precise<br />

heading for the required position without bucking -<br />

very important for garage doors. The closed current<br />

requirements of the electronics have been mottled<br />

compared to the previous servo motor which preserves<br />

the decoder. However, one of the most important<br />

improvements of the new Precision Servo<br />

Motor has to do with the switching-on: The well-known tremor<br />

when switching on the layout, which occurs with a lot of conventional<br />

RC-servos, is 100% choked during every operation<br />

mode. You will hear absolutely nothing from the servo when<br />

switching your layout on, no railway crossing will bounce.<br />

Accessories<br />

To make the application of the Servo motor as easy as possible,<br />

we include substantial accessories with delivery, which are especially<br />

adjusted to our customers´ needs: among some, diverse<br />

control horns, there is a special servo horn for a direct insert of<br />

the controlling wire. The controlling wire is, of course, included<br />

as well as the mounting screws. The most important accessory is<br />

a special servo holder: it enables you to install the Servo Motor<br />

either horizontally or vertically - depending on the application.<br />

gearing brother. Moreover, the „Precision Servo Motor - Metal“<br />

is appropriate for all situations in which splicing and beating<br />

claim high mechanical requirements from the servo and where<br />

the sound development does not play such an important<br />

role.<br />

With the same measurements as the Precision Servo<br />

Motor, the metal gearing is also equipped with<br />

the new, micro-processed control electronics for a<br />

precise, sensitive heading to the required position.<br />

Therefore the impuls suppression makes sure that<br />

there won´t be any tremors on the layout when you<br />

switch it on. The 30cm cables makes easy wiring<br />

possible.<br />

Also, the „Precision Servo Motor - Metal“ comes with innovative and<br />

well-proven accessories such as a servo holder and controlling wires.<br />
