PART 1 - GENERAL<br />

1.1 SECTION REQUIREMENTS<br />

A. Summary:<br />

.1 Interior illuminated and non-illuminated statutory and way-finding building signage to office<br />

floors and below grade.<br />

.2 Types of Signs: Illuminated, non-illuminated, wall mounted, ceiling mounted or suspended<br />

from ceilings with pendants.<br />

.3 Electric sign boards in Parking Garage.<br />

.4 Custom designed signage for interior and exterior spaces. TBC<br />

1.2 DESIGN REQUIREMENTS<br />

A. Use standardized or modular sizes as much as possible to enable interchanging, intermixing, additions<br />

and deletions.<br />

B. Housings to be light-tight, self-supporting with concealed fastenings, and easily serviceable.<br />

1.3 SUBMITTALS<br />

A. Product Data.<br />

B. Shop Drawings:<br />

.1 To indicate materials, thicknesses, sizes, finishes, colours, construction details, removable<br />

and interchangeable components, electrical components specifications and power loads,<br />

wiring terminal box locations, access panels, mounting methods, and schedule of signs.<br />

.2 Include full or 1/2 scale artwork for pictographs.<br />

C. Samples: For each type of sign, sign image and mounting method.<br />

1.4 QUALITY ASSURANCE:<br />

A. Regulatory requirements: conform to applicable code for requirements for disabled persons.<br />

B. Field Quality Control Benchmark: First installation of each type of sign.<br />

PART 2 - PRODUCTS<br />

2.1 MATERIALS<br />

A. Sign casing materials will be selected from factory finished aluminum, plastic, acrylic cast sheet or<br />

stainless steel, framed or unframed.<br />

B. Lettering and Pictograms Application Options: Engraved, sand blasted, silk-screened, injection<br />

molded, raised, or individual graphics.<br />

C. Electrical Components: UL listed.<br />

D. Signs to be proprietary type approved for type of use intended and approved by authorities having<br />

jurisdiction.<br />
